• For those of you who are conflicted and confused about what the distinctions are between a “wine cooler” and a “wine cellar”, let this reviewer be clear about this Danby model: it is a mini refrigerator that has a tinted glass door instead of a solid door, and a black interior instead of a white interior.

• I did a bit of research before deciding to purchase the Danby. The price was right and reviews of other makes tended to say things like “stopped working after n months”. Also, the thermoelectric technology on many of the other makes doesn’t seem to be able to keep things cool if the temperature reaches above 85 or 90, which is quite easy to achieve in NY during the summer.

• Arrived on time. Works as advertised. Great value. It is not perfectly quite, but not loud either.   It is relatively quiet and seems to maintain temperatures reasonably well. I’m not worried about precise temperature accuracy, since wine can be be stored at a fairly wide temperature range without negative effects. Fretting over a couple of degrees is silly.

• Shipping was a disaster. I was shipped this unit 3 times. On the first two, the back left corner was completely crushed and significantly damaged in the same spot on both. I believe this is likely an issue with the warehouse. On the third one, I specifically requested they check the cooler for damage before sending. Unfortunately, this time there was a huge dent in the door frame, which I strongly believe was caused by the shippers. Fortunately, the customer service was great! They just sent me a new door and I finally had a fully functional unit that was not damaged.

• I really don’t understand all of the negative comments about this product. I read many of the reviews before I purchased this and to be totally honest, here was my experience.
  – to begin with, it was shipped via FEDEX and it arrived 4 days after I ordered it. I did not ask for expedited shipment.
  – the shipping container was a container within a container so you can tell there was special care placed in ensuring the product got there safely and without and possibility of damage. I was very surprised to see the size of the box when it arrived and I thought at first that this was way larger than I anticipated.

• Heads up alert- Just installed this unit -very attractive and looks like a more expensive wine cooler- and couldn’t adjust the temperature or use the on/off button. Explored online and read the troubleshooting and found that all we needed to do was hold down the light/lock button for 3 seconds to unlock the control panel- Hope it helps save others time.

• We bought this Wine Cooler to place under a wet bar. It was hard to find a unit that was 15″ wide that could be used under a counter and was stainless steel. This unit has fit that need for us. The pictures supplied by Amazon don’t really do it justice. The interior in the picture looks almost grey and our unit is painted black on the inside with black metal racks……..

• I love this wine cooler! It is the second one I’ve owned that is made by this company. The first one lasted over 7 years and this one appears to be of even better quality thus far. Only complaint is you can’t put sodas on the shelves. They will fall through to the next shelf due to wide spacing of the wires.

• Great wine cooler. Would have given it 5 stars except we had to send the original one back. It failed to cool after the third day. The company was very good about the return however, paid for pick up and all shipping. The new one arrived very promptly and has run flawlessly since.

• After a lot of research i bought this unit. As a cooler for wine storage, it has worked well for over two years.
  My one piece of advice is that It’s critical that you leave a good 2-4 inches of unobstructed space around the unit, because the thermo-electrics generate heat and it needs to exhaust.

• AKDY wine cooler has a great design, comparable to much more costly brands and models. The shelfs spacing and depth fits most bottles of both red and white.

Larger formats and taller bottles do not fit in any direction. Other than this, it is a nice product.

• Working great so far (only been 1 month). It is a thermo-electric instead of compressor so very sensitive to the temperature of the room. Also the temperature displayed is not the temperature in the unit, I highly recommend placing a small thermometer inside to actually track the temp.

• The cooler was fine. I am not sure how you get 32 bottles in there, but it fits my space and seems to be working.

• It works well however the temperature is not stable dropping or raising a degree or tow.

• This unit is 32 inches tall, so it’s a tad taller than advertised. Displayed temp is NOT temp in unit, measured on centre rack. It’s off by 4 or 5 degrees F. So if set to 55F expect temp in unit to be approx 58 or 59F. Beware of ambient temp. this greatly effects the temp the unit can work down too. This should be a warning in the description. When ambient temp. is 77F the lowest temp it can reach is 50-52F (I assume on their widely inaccurate temp display), when ambient is 66F expect 39-41F.

• I ordered the AWC-330E as my first wine cooler after a lot of research and reading reviews. After unpacking the first unit and plugging it in, I realized it was completely dead. No power at all. The next day I called customer service to see how to fix this. Having read other Amazon reviews, I was hoping I’d get the stellar customer service others had received. Fortunately Mireya totally took care of the return process immediately.

• Perfect complement to our kitchen. We have it next to a bank of cabinets and its the perfect height.
  It fits both wine bottle and beer bottles on the bottom when the two shelves are removes.
  Right now I have 19 wine bottles and 18 beer bottles fitting perfectly.
  A solid purchase for the money.

• I love this wine cooler! Its extremely convenient, fits a lot of bottle and looks great!! I own three of them and might buy a 4th one. I had a little problem with one of them so I contacted the NewAir team to let them know. They have been extremely nice and helpful and got me a new one!! Thank you Mireya:)

• Buying this wine refrigerator was one of the best experiences that I have had buying something that I had little knowledge or information about. I went mostly by the size and reviews, and the fact that it was thermoelectric and quiet. In short, it required almost no assembly (just screwing on the handles) and achieved our set temperatures (50 for the whites and 59 for the reds) within a few hours and has held them for a week now with no problem.

• Temperature (at least by the indicators) is staying very steadily at what I put it. Extremely quiet unit – no more compressor kicking. The loudest thing you hear is the fan perhaps for 30-60 seconds at a time every hour or so. Our home is set to 80F in the Houston summer, and the unit is handling it quite well

• It was shipped the day I ordered it so I received it in 2 days. It was packed well, the delivery guy left it one step from a covered area so the box was wet but fortunately not the wine rack. I followed instructions on the set up. I set the two different temps and it is working as described. I read a review about the wooden shelves being flimsy but I find them to be very adequate and much nicer looking than the metal ones. I have put several different bottles and they all fit nicely. All in all I am very pleased with the unit.

• I am revising my review. The first wine cooler wereceived was badly damaged and did not work well. Air & Water replaced my unit in 1 day! unbelievable service. The new fridge is working well. It is very quiet and it looks great. Thank you to Air & Water for such a quick and easy exchange of our wine cooler.

• I have been looking to get a wine cooler for some time now, but didn’t put too much effort into it at the time, as I did not have the space for one with this capacity. Since moving into my new home I began to look for a cooler. Because of the dual zone, wooden racks, and overall appearance this one caught my attention. It is a wonderful model and does what it is supposed to do.
